Self-assembled Low-Dimensional Systems

Goal of the subject: Nowadays, electronics was revolutionized by the use of nanotructures. Good examples for the applications of the nanostructures are the blue LED-s and the high-efficiency solar cells. The goal of this subject is to give an inspection to the production of the mentioned nanostructures, its physical properties and application possibilities.

Short sylabus: The course materials contains six main topics. These are the following: relationship of the nanotechnology and microtechnology, scale-laws, properties of the low dimensional systems, technology of the self-assmebly and nanosystems and finally the application of the low imensional systems
